This amazing prize from XBingo is up for grabs through a special game taking place at 9.30pm on Wednesday 30th November and the great thing is cards only cost 10p each so for under a tenner you can max out. It’s good to see XBingo running a festive game a month early as that gives them plenty of time to get the prize sent out to the lucky winner before Christmas and if they are feeling really generous they could use it to buy presents for their friends and family too. If for some reason you don’t want two grand worth of gadgets (and we can see no reason why you wouldn’t) XBingo are offering a £1,000 cash alternative instead.

If you prefer your side games XBingo has the perfect promotion just for you. Each week the internet bingo site hosts a Slots X-Travaganza with a cool £1,500 worth of cash prizes up for grabs. You can scoop a share of the prize pot by playing selected slots games and you can check which ones are included by clicking on the Instant Win tab in the lobby. Fifty lucky players will split the cash between them with £500 for first place.

You may remember that back in March Wink Bingo ran a Mothers Day promotion that totally excluded their male bingo players. At the time we contacted Wink Bingo on behalf of male player's everywhere and were told that Mothers Day was nothing to do with men and was only a time for mothers and daughters. We were told by the support staff that we were over reacting and that when Fathers Day came around they would be running a similar promotion exclusively for Fathers and Sons. We took them on their word and held off to see what happened but now Fathers Day is here and yes you guessed it, the Wink Bingo Fathers Day promos are available to all players both male and female.

We took them on their word and held off to see what happened but now Fathers Day is here and yes you guessed it, the Wink Bingo Fathers Day promos are available to all players both male and female.

At the time of the Mothers Day promotion we contacted the Equality and Human Rights Commission and they agreed with us that Wink Bingo’s promotion was in fact in breach of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. They advised us that we had six months in which to contact Wink Bingo asking them to clarify why they were running a sexist promotion and informed us we could actually take the bingo site to court. We wrote to Wink Bingo and gave them fourteen days in which to reply but they could not even be bothered to contact us.

The new Fathers Day promotions are good in that they are no longer sexist or in breach of any regulations but they do go to show just how sexist the majority of the online bingo industry really is. If Wink Bingo had run Fathers Day special stating no women allowed there would have being absolute uproar and we would have seen a lot more negative publicity. This just goes to show what we have known for a long time and that is that male bingo players are still considered to be second class by some of the biggest names in the industry.

Poor old Tombola Bingo really doesn’t have much luck when it comes to advertising. If you have a long memory you may remember that last year their old television campaign based around a fairground was banned by the ASA because the music and the bingo ball characters were too appealing to children. These adverts were replaced by a whole new campaign based around the bingo sites tropical island and their many superb games. Sadly Tombola Bingo has fallen foul of the ASA again and their new adverts have also being banned.

Click here to play at Tombola Bingo

For those of you that have not seen the advert in question is showed the Tombola Bingo host a white man dressed in a dinner jacket along with a black man wearing a more tropical outfit and floral shirt who was playing the Ukulele as they say by the fire singing “ola Tombola”. Apparently two people complained about the bingo sites adverts because they felt that they were likely to cause serious or widespread offence, because they believed it presented a negative racial stereotype.

The complaints were upheld because the ASA agreed that the relationship between the two characters in the television advert was defined as the power of the white man over the black man because the black man was portrayed as a less intelligent character who repeated everything the white man said. Tombola Bingo has agreed never to show the advert again and stress the ad was not meant to be offensive and they believed it did not present a negative racial stereotype.

Call us cynical but it’s very strange that two people complained about this advert, were they the same two people that complained about the first advert? Maybe they were from another bingo sites jealous of Tombola Bingo’s continued success; I guess we will never know!

You may remember that a couple of days ago we asked if Sun Bingo was sexist. Well it seems sexism in the bingo industry is rife this month and today we investigated a promotion that is not only sexist but is bordering on being Illegal. In our opinion Wink Bingo are breaking the law by discriminating against all of their male bingo players by running a promotion that is only available to daughters and their mothers.

We were doing our usual rounds this afternoon looking for the newest promotions to write up to keep our readers informed when we stumbled across the Wink Bingo Yummy Mummies Day offer. Reading through the details of this day we were shocked to see “If a mum and daughter both play the same bingo game and one wins – we’ll match the jackpot amount for the other“. At first we thought ok maybe just the way it has being written up is sexist so we contacted the bingo sites support for clarification and were amazed by their reply.

Below is a transcript of the conversation we had with Wink Bingo support but we have removed the assistants name as we did not feel it was right to publish it:

[Name Removed]: mcdogs: Hey there
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: How can I help?
mcdogs: Hi [Name Removed], I was wondering if you could answer me a quick question about your Yummy Mummy promotion
mcdogs: Is it only available to mothers and daughters?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: can you please bear with me
mcdogs: ok
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: where have you seen that promo going on?
mcdogs: it’s on your promotions page
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: are you talking about the mum promo?
mcdogs: yes your yummy mummy promotion
[Name Removed]: ya that’s only for mothers and daughters
mcdogs: What about mothers and sons?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: sorry not applicable….
mcdogs: Hmmm isn’t that sexist and therefore against the law?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: no its has nothing to do against the law
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: as it is a promotion that we are doing …. and it’s been set up like this …
mcdogs: But surely that’s totally excluding all of your male bingo players, that is totally sexist
mcdogs: and therefore breaking the law
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: but we are not doing that to be sexist or whatsoever, but it’s just a promotion
mcdogs: but it’s a promotion that excludes men
mcdogs: does that mean as a male wink player I am valued less then the females?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: no it doesn’t mean that male players are being neglected
mcdogs: so why are they excluded from a promotion?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: because let me give you an example
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: for valentines, it’s only for couples
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: mothers days it’s only for mothers and daughters
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: and for fathers day, that will be fathers and sons
mcdogs: I’m sorry but its not, you’re saying sons do not celebrate mothers day???
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: sons as well does.. no doubts about that, i am somebody’s son as well, n i do celebrate it
mcdogs: So on Fathers day are you going to repeat this promotion and exclude all fo your female bingo player
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: but the fact that the promo is based on only mothers day and daughters, so i would like you to respect as it is
mcdogs: So thats your last word on it? even though its breaking the law?
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: for fathers day we dont have any informations yet how this would be done… so you will come to know that by next week
[Name Removed]: mcdogs: it is my last words on this promo though we do agree with you and respect your personal point of view
mcdogs: That’s fine, I will take my money elsewhere then.

Wink Bingo’s argument that Mothers Day is only for mothers and daughters is ludicrous at best, how dare they say such a thing? Are men not supposed to be thankful to their mothers or love them? On a purely personal note I would not be the man I am today if it was not for a great mother. Wink Bingo are not only discriminating against men but also against those mothers that have only sons and they are stopping any chance we have of winning any of the prizes on offer.

The Sex Discrimination Act 1984 states “Sex discrimination means being treated unfairly because of your sex or marital status or because you are pregnant or potentially pregnant. It also includes being dismissed from employment because you have family responsibilities. Discrimination also exists where there is a requirement (a rule, policy, practice or procedure) that is the same for everyone, but which has an unfair effect on particular groups.”

Wink Bingo is clearly breaching this act and we intend to report them to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, we will let you know what happens.

Here at Bingo for Men we pride ourselves on the fact that every day we bring you details of the latest man friendly promotions. At the same time though we are also here to name and shame those bingo sites that seem to forget us men exist. These sites seem to forget that about 35% of online bingo players are in fact male so to ignore such a large group of people who are more then willing and able to wager a lot of money is a crazy business practice. This is why we are surprised with a promotion that is running at one of our favourite sites and making us ask is Sun Bingo sexist?

Click here to play at New Sun Bingo

As a rule Sun Bingo promotions are some of the best you can find, they offer free bingo, guaranteed jackpots and some superb prize games but their latest free offering is questionable to say the least. All this month Sun Bingo are going to give all new players that register and deposit a free gift worth £20 which sounds great but the trouble is this free gift is a Barry M (whoever the heck he is) Makeup Kit containing nail polish, eye liner, eye shadow and lip-gloss. This may be good for female players or even married male players who can use it to earn some brownie points with the wife but what about the rest of us?

This kind of sexist promotion really annoys us, is it really so hard for online bingo sites to offer an alternative free gift of the same value? Can these sites not just take a moment and show a bit of consideration for male bingo players? Surely it cannot be that hard for Sun Bingo‘s promotions department to look at the percentage of male players and arrange something special for us even if it’s just a Lynx gift set and shaving bag, anything just to show we are just as valued as the women!

It is always exciting when a new bingo site launches, the anticipation of waiting to find out exactly what they will offer and what they will do different to try and attract new players. Later this month we see the launch of Titan Bingo a site that promises to shake up the industry by using the experience they gained through years of operating in the online poker and casino markets.

Titan Bingo will be using the same Playtech software as used by the excellent Bingo Day and Tote Sport bingo sites so you can be guaranteed it will be a quality operation. They are promising a perfect combination of bingo games, superb graphics, interactive rooms and generous promotions including free bingo. The new site will be offering both 75 ball and 90 ball bingo as well as special bingo games to keep things interesting.

Titan Bingo will ensure they put their players first and do everything possible to build a strong community feeling. Titan Bingo will not only rely on their games but also a bingo blog providing the latest news, information on upcoming promotions and details on special events and give aways including free bingo cards and free cash.

Before the end of this week we will also see the launch of Titan Bet which is a brand new sports betting site promising new and innovate features. Titan bet and Titan Bingo will share account details which basically means by registering on either site you will have access to both and will be able to enjoy everything they offer.

We do not have a launch date for Titan Bingo just yet, all we know is they will be launching before the end of the month but we promise as soon as details are confirmed you will be the first to know.

Usually at this time of the year online bingo sites use their festive promotions to reward their players for the loyalty they have shown during the year. We have already bought you excellent news from Sun Bingo and Wink Bingo so when we heard Game Village Bingo had released details of their Christmas offer we were excited to pass the news onto you. Sadly we were shocked when we read what they are offering and we suggest they rename it the Game Village Advent Ripoff.

When you first land on Game village Bingo’s Christmas page everything looks promising. The online bingo site is running a special game based around an advent calendar whereby as you open each door it reveals what prize you have won. These prizes include Christmas hampers, bluray players, coffee makers, iPod shuffles, television, sandwich toaster, iTunes vouchers and unspecified cash amounts; Sounds great doesn’t it?

The problem is before you can actually access the advent calendar at Game Village Bingo you have to correctly answer a ridiculously easy Christmas themed question. These answers though have to be sent via text to special number and cost a whopping £1.50 each in addition to the cost of your normal text. If this is not bad enough they allow you to enter fifteen times a day meaning you could end up spending £30 a day which multiplied over a month is a serious amount of money to invest in a prize you can pick up from your local Argos store without it breaking the bank.

We really do not understand why Game Village Bingo have gone down this route, as a rule they are a great bingo site that looks after their players well so where has this money grabbing mentality come from? Are they struggling and in need of a cash injection? Whatever their reason it is simply not good enough to take advantage of their players at a time of the year when everyone is feeling the pinch.

The battle is on for the Bingo Operator of the Year and some of the most popular bingo sites are going head to head for the coveted title at this years EGR awards. Cashcade and Tombola Bingo are both included in this years final renewing their long standing rivalry but the field is wide open as they have being joined by some of the most popular brands on the market to discover just who is best bingo site in the UK today.

Cashcade has had a massive year with the launch of Cheeky Bingo bringing to the total number of sites on their network to eight. Over the past twelve months they have spent a whopping £6 million in advertising including lucrative sponsorship deals. 2010 will see the company expand even further after their sale to PartyGaming which will see their brands expand into the European market.

Tombola Bingo (my own favourite site) has gone from strength to strength after launching as their own brand after their contract with Sun Bingo and has a massive following of players largely thanks to impressive games, large jackpots, free games and their superb loyalty programs Playmates and My Tombola.

Gamesys the company behind New Sun Bingo has had a great year largely thanks to the three million Sun newspaper readers and their low cost bingo rooms and exciting side games. Sun Bingo will soon sign up their three millionth players; a testament to the bingo sites success.

Ladbrokes Bingo which now operates in six languages has shown a 6% increase year on year and has opened plenty of new rooms over the past twelve months. William Hill Bingo which is on the same Virtue Fusion Network joins the line up after increasing its market share and raising over £40,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

Completing the line up is Wink Bingo which now offers twenty rooms of bingo and has had successful sponsorship deals including All Star Family Fortunes, The Cube and Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

Is your favourite bingo site listed? If you want to check out the six finalists have a read through the bingo reviews and see what they all have to offer. The winner will be announced at the EGR Awards which takes place at London 30th November.

I have always been a fan of Foxy Bingo; it was always one of the few sites where you could guarantee quality promotions with impressive prizes. OK some times they let us blokes down with bubble gum pink gadgets but more often or not their super prize night prizes were worth winning. All of this seems to have changed though since the PartyGaming takeover earlier this year and now I am left asking myself has Foxy Bingo lost its touch?

OK some times they let us blokes down with bubble gum pink gadgets but more often or not their super prize night prizes were worth winning. All of this seems to have changed though since the PartyGaming takeover earlier this year and now I am left asking myself has Foxy Bingo lost its touch?

If we go back a few months and look at the Super Prize night prizes we would find excellent prizes such as camcorders, cameras, LCD TV’s, iPod Docks, DVD players, kitchen gadgets and a whole host of other prizes worth hundreds of pounds. Then back in July Cashcade Limited the company behind Foxy Bingo was sold to PartyGaming as part of a £96 million takeover and everything changed and not for the better.

Over the past few weeks the bingo sites super prize night prizes have gone down hill really fast. We had Patrick Swayze night with a bunch of DVD’s and books that could all be picked up for under a tenner, then we had Dirty Dancing night again with a bunch of prizes I would not bother even getting out of bed to try and win and this week we have really hit the bottom of the barrel as they are offering a bunch of Foxy Bingo merchandise including stationery sets, brollies, bags, t-shirts and necklaces.

I am sure I am not just talking for us blokes when I say none of these light my fire, why would I want to win publicity material for a site that seems to have forgotten how to reward their players; come on Foxy, sort it out!
